Randall's Island

Jesse Owens wins the 200m dash during the 1936 US Olympic Trials at Downing Stadium on Randall's Island.

Randall’s Island Park is located along the East River between Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx. The Island is maintained by the Randall’s Island Park Alliance and is home to over 9 miles of waterfront pathways featuring bicycle and pedestrian trails along the Park’s western shoreline, which create scenic waterfront views along the East River and provide increased access to Randall’s Island Park for the neighboring communities.  Randall’s Island is also home to an extensive range of fields and spaces and Icahn Stadium - an IAAF- certified track and field facility.
