The ninth-annual adidas Grand Prix, one of the premier track-and-field events in the world, is the seventh stop on the international IAAF Diamond League circuit, and the fifth stop on the USATF Championship Series. Global Athletics & Marketing Inc., is the meet owner/promoter, and Mark Wetmore is the meet director.

#aGPNYC – adidas Grand Prix
The adidas Grand Prix will be distributing very few press releases this year to announce athletes. The majority of athletes will be announced via the social media sites above. Please visit them regularly, and feel free to share, retweet, or repurpose content (with proper attribution).
Applications for accreditation must be received by Friday, June 5. All applicants must complete the online accreditation form; no paper copies will be accepted.
Accreditation Pick-Up: Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt, and Saturday, June 13, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Icahn Stadium. Any media arriving later than 1:30 p.m. should make advance arrangements with the adidas Grand Prix media staff.
Pre-event Media Headquarters
A small pre-event media workroom will be located at the Hyatt Grand Central in midtown Manhattan. This room will serve as both a workroom for journalists and accreditation pick-up in advance of the meeting. Wireless Internet access will be available.
Hours of Operation: Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: The Hyatt Grand Central is located next to Grand Central Terminal at 109 East 42nd Street, and is right next to subway lines 4, 5, 6 and 7.
A press conference with some of the most important athletes participating to the meet, will be held on Friday June 12 (start time at 11:00am) at the Grand Hyatt New York (room: Ballroom) - 109 East 42nd Street. A detailed calendar with the names of the athletes participating in the Press conference will be emailed to all accredited media on or before Thursday, June 11.
Main Media Headquarters
The main media workroom will be at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island in New York City. The workroom, press mixed zone and press conference room will all be together in a large tent centrally located just off the infield. There will also be reserved space in the media tribune for journalists on deadline. Wireless Internet access will be available in all media work areas.

Getting There: Icahn Stadium is at 20 Randall’s Island Way. There will be a media shuttle from the Hyatt Grand Central to Randall’s Island.
NBC Sports is the host broadcaster for this meeting of the IAAF Diamond League, and as such, is the only organization that is permitted to record competition footage occurring in the infield at Icahn Stadium. At no time once the meeting begins, and through its duration, may accredited media film, tape or record any competition footage, athlete celebration, victory lap, or the like, that occurs on the track or in the infield. Accredited media are permitted to tape footage of crowd reaction and post-event athlete interviews provided the footage does not include anything restricted (as outlined in the previous sentence). Interviews must be conducted in the mixed zone or other designated press areas. Please review the “Accreditation Agreement” for more information.
